Junior Dan Unke and sophomore Caleb Kurbis combined to score the Knights first 11 points of the game, as Martin Luther cruised to a 69-54 victory over Bethany Tuesday night.

The Knights, who led from start to finish, never allowed the Vikings to find any rhythm, going into the half with a 42-23 lead.  The Vikings trimmed the lead down to 52-42 midway through the second half, but Knights freshman guard Jake Schwartz quashed the rally on the ensuing possession.  Schwartz answered with a three-point shot, which began a 9-2 run for the Knights to put the game out of reach.  Sophomore guard Neil Birkholz scored seven points while grabbing seven rebounds, as the Knights bench gave another strong performance.  The Knights bench outscored the Vikings bench 27-13.  The Knights are now 3-4 in UMAC play and 4-11 on the season.
