No Love Lost in Valentine's Day Showdown |
|
Cupid and love spells aside, the only arrows that will be thrown tonight will be in the shape of a round object directed at a circular hole 10 ft from the ground. There will be no ‘you had me at hello’s’ in this hotly contested match-up with playoff implications. The Knights will need to be at their best to knock off a Bethany team that is ranked third in the UMAC. Sophomore guard Jake Schwartz has been the Knights offensive spark plug off the bench, leading the team in scoring in six of their last seven games, averaging 19.5ppg in that span. While the Knights will need similar effort tonight, most importantly the Knights will need to be at their best defensively to keep their playoff hopes alive. With the home court advantage at hand, this lover’s quarrel will tell us who’s headed to the UMAC Final Four and who’ll be sleeping on the couch come playoff time. |
