Heise Propels Saints to UMAC Championship

  Pitcher Laura Heise struck out 10 in five shut-out innings and hit a two-run blast to left field as St. Scholastica went on to defeat Northland 9-0.  After each team breezed through the first two innings, the Saints broke it open with a six run, two out rally.  Heise has been impressive in the Saints first two games of post-season play, hitting 4 of 5 with 5 RBIs, including three extra base hits.  The Saints will host the winner of Northland/Northwestern Saturday.
