Junior Susan Pappathopoulos, after popping out in her first at-bat of the day, joked that her plan was to get the first and second out in the same inning.  Thank goodness for plan B.  Pappathopoulos hit three triples in her next three at-bats, leading the Knights to a 33-0 victory over North Central Saturday afternoon.  Pappathopoulos continued her hot hitting in the second game, hitting for the cycle en route to a 37-0 win to complete the doubleheader.  Pappathopoulos finished the day with a combined nine hits and 12 runs batted in.

The Knights offense churned out 70 combined runs on the day.  The Knights set many new team records and broke the NCAA Division III record for runs in a game (37) and runs in an inning (12).  Freshman pitcher Kaitlyn Schumacher posted a shutout in the first game, giving up only two hits while picking up seven strikeouts.  Senior pitcher Rachel Hering followed with a shutout of her own, also giving up only two hits and striking out eight.  Hering struck out the side in the second and fifth innings.

The Knights are now 7-1 overall in non-conference play.  The Knights host Hamline University on Monday.  The doubleheader begins at 3:30 pm.
