QUICK GAME RECAP: It down to the end, but Bethany was too strong for the Knights as MLC lost a close game 63-62.  MCL started out the game strong, extending their lead to as much as 21-9 before Bethany made an a key adjustment.  The switched to a zone defense.  After extending their lead to 21-9 on a jumper by Sarah Scharf, the Vikings came back down court and got 6 quick points from a three pointer and also a three point play.  Bethany remained in their zone defense for the rest of the second half and tied the score at 29.

In the second half MLC could not find a remedy for the stifling zone defense that Bethany was applying.  MLC's offense becamse stagnant as their ball movement slowed down considerably.  MLC could not cash in on Bethany's 28 turnovers either as they committed 13 of their own.  For the game, the Knights had 3 scorers in double figures, including freshman Beth Ebeling who finished with 10 points on 5-8 shooting.

MLC's women take on Concordia St. Paul next week Tuesday at 7:00 pm in St. Paul.
