Scoring draughts and a hot shooter on the opposing team usually spells trouble and the Knights experienced just that in Tuesday night's non-conference game against Mt. Marty. Jess Krull scored a season-high 27 points for Mt. Marty, leading the Lancers to their fifth straight win, a 78-56 victory over the Knights.
The Lancers deep bench scored 35 points as 13 of the 14 players on the roster got into the scoring action. The Knights offense could generate any momentum, having scoring draughts as long as six minutes in the first half of play. The Knights shot 36% on the night. The Lancers, who led the game from start to finish, went on a 23-2 run, which spanned over nine minutes in the first half, giving the Lancers a 35-15 lead. The Knights went into the half, trailing 39-21.
The Knights started out the second half on an 8-0 run, aided by senior forward Beth Ebeling's two lay-ups, but were unable to come any closer. Ebeling led the Knights with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. The Knights host Presentation on Friday at 5:30 pm. Box Score
