Knights Defense Stifles Saints
The Knights went on a 18-2 run to open the game and did not allow a field goal for the first 10 minutes en route to a 54-38 victory over the St. Scholastica Saints friday night. Senior guard Emma Babinec and sophomore forward Hannah Bode combined for over half of the Knights offense, each leading the team with 14 points. The Saints trimmed the lead to 20-17 at the half, but the Knights defense continued to shut down a Saints offense that was averaging 75.1 points per game. The Knights are now 5-1 in games where they hold their opponents to under 50 points.
The Knights complete their weekend play by hosting Northland. Tip-off is at 3:00pm.
