Feb 8 - Knights defense falters in second half, lose to Dordt Senior guard Dan Unke's last home game was bitter sweet, leading the team in total points and rebounds, but watched as his team put together a solid first half only to fall apart in the second half. The Knights went into halftime trailing the Defenders 38-36, but came out flat in the final 20 minutes of play, as Dordt would outscore the Knights 57-36 in the half. Unke led the Knights with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Box Score
Feb 5 - Knights late rally again falls short The Knights are beginning to wonder if their season could become a sequel to the movie Groundhog's Day. The Knights, as has been the case all year, dug themselves a hole in the first half and made a late second half rally, only to see them fall a basket short, losing to Northwestern 81-79. Feb 4 - Knights late rally falls short The Knights went on a 12-2 run with three minutes remaining in the game, but the deficit was too big to overcome, as Crown went on to defeat the Knights 88-79 Friday night. The Knights trailed by as many as 18 in the second half, but closed the gap to within six, riding the hot hand of sophomore guard Caleb Kurbis. Kurbis hit five three-point field goals in the second half and scored a career-high 26 points on the night. Junior point guard Jeff Dolan added a double-double, scoring 12 points and adding a season-high 13 assists. Box Score
Jan 26 - Knights get the upper hand in local rival battle Junior Dan Unke and sophomore Caleb Kurbis combined to score the Knights first 11 points of the game, as Martin Luther cruised to a 69-54 victory over Bethany Tuesday night. Read story Box Score

Jan 22 - Knights go head to head with Cougars, lose in final minute The Knights kept the #1 UMAC Cougar offense in check, holding them 11 points under average. The Knights held a nine-point lead with two minutes remaining, draining five three-pointers on five consecutive possessions in the midst of a 23-5 run, but watched as the Cougars scratched and clawed its way back, and gained the lead, going on to defeat the Knights 78-73. Sophomore guard Caleb Kurbis led the Knights with 16 points. Read Story Box Score
Jan 21- Knights Falter against Saints The Knights couldn't make a crucial stop in the second half as the Saints shot 60% in the half, and 46% on the night, defeating the Knights 82-68. The Knights went into the half ahead 36-31, but the Saints went on a 21-5 in the first eight minutes in the second half en route to the victory. Senior guard Dan Unke, who was presented with a plaque before the game in recognition of becoming only the fifth player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points, led the Knights with 19 points. Freshman guard Nate Nass was second on the team with 14 points on six-of-seven shooting from the field. Box Score

Jan 19 - Knights suffer bad shooting night, loss to Mt. Marty The Knights couldn't buy a bucket in Tuesday night's game, shooting 33% on the night, against Mt. Marty, giving the Lancers their third straight victory, defeating the Knights 73-52 in a non-conference match-up. Read Story Box Score
Jan 15 - Unke leads Knights to second straight UMAC victory Senior guard Dan Unke continued his hot shooting against St. Scholastica and was a perfect 9-for-9 on the line, including the game-winning free throw with 1.1 seconds remaining in the game. Unke scored a game-high 25 points in the Knights 78-77 victory. Freshman guard Jake Schwartz had a career-high 22 points and helped the Knights stay within range of St. Scholastica when key Knight starters were having foul trouble. The Knights improve to 2-2 in the UMAC and travel to face Mt. Marty, a non-conference opponent, on Tuesday. Box Score
Jan 14 - Knights attain first conference victory of season Knights come from behind in the second half, riding the hot hand of senior guard Dan Unke, who led the Knights past Northland 71-64 Friday night. The Knights shot just under 60% in the second half and 50% on the night. Unke had a game-high 22 points. Box Score
Jan 13 - Knights host two UMAC opponents this weekend The Knights welcome Northland and St. Scholastica to the Luther Student Center Gymnasium this weekend. Click on either opponent to read the game-day preview.
Jan. 7 - Knights suffer tough loss to Northwestern The defending regular season champion Northwestern Eagles defeated the Knights 91-63, in the Knights first game of UMAC play. Last year’s conference player of the year Eagles center Jeff Versteeg and fellow senior Ted Taatjes each posted a double-double. The Eagles shot over 50% from the field and 55% from behind-the-arc. on the night. Jan. 4 - Conference play begins this week! After a rough start, the Knights begin UMAC conference play Friday at Northwestern. Tip-off is at 7:30pm.
