Nov 4 - Knights Defeat St. Scholastica

   The Knights have defeated St. Scholastica in the opening round of the UMAC Final Four tournament in Aberdeen, SD.  The Knights, who had been seeded 4th in the tournament, faced the #1 seed in the conference.  Despite being heavily favored to win, St. Scholastica was able to score only one goal early in the first period.  This goal was matched just before the half by a goal from Katherine Valleskey, assisted by Jenni Mueller.  The Knights hung on tight through 2 overtimes, then pulled off the win during the shootout.  Click here to see the current tournament standings.

Knights Earn Third Consecutive Shut-out Victory

  The Knights women’s soccer team had another defensive standout performance, shutting out Crown 3-0.  This was their third consecutive shut-out victory and fourth on the year.  Sophomore sweeper Katie Peters had another outstanding day defensively, breaking up many Crown Storm offensive threats.  Senior forward Katherine Valleskey led the Knights with two goals on the day, one unassisted.  Junior forward Jenni Mueller picked up the Knights other goal, with Valleskey on the assist.

Sept 1 - Knights Struggle against Augsburg

  A few days after a tough loss to St. Olaf, the Knights return to the field only to lose to Augsburg.  The day was not a complete loss, though.  Coach Balge was impressed by the defense of Katie Peter.  Despite the loss, the young team has gained valuable playing time and experience.  The Knights travel to Bethel on Friday the 9th.

Sept 1 - Knights Fall to St. Olaf

  In the opening game of the season, the Lady Knights fell to St. Olaf.  The Knights are starting the season with a number of first year players, who are still making the adjustment to college ball.  The Knights play again this Saturday, at home, against Augsburg.
