Welcome to 16th Century

circa 1546

Wittenberg is a small city of about 2,000 residents.  Wittenberg is located on the Elbe River in the land of Saxony, which is in the north-central part of mainland Europe.  Wittenberg was first chartered as a city in 1293.

Wittenberg is proud to have been the home of the recently deceased Dr. Martin Luther.  Dr. Luther has played no small part in the revitalization of the light of the Gospel.  He has helped us to refocus our eyes on the truth of the Gospel, rather than the errors and abuses of the Roman Catholic Church.

I cordially invite you to stay awhile here in Wittenberg and have a look around.  Below you will find a map of our fair city.  Simply click on any part of the city which you wish to have a closer look at.
